A Visual Resting Place
When I paint, I want you, the viewer, to experience the journey behind the artwork.
Simple lines and pure color create a visual resting place for your spirit to experience contentment and peace. My hope is that through my art you would sense a shift in the atmosphere around you the way an open window brings fresh air and light to a room. --Rowena Ednilao, Artist
Joy that Lingers
"The paint on Rowena’s canvas speaks of beauty that dances on oceans of majesty and of joy that lingers somewhere between the light of sunrise and the peaceful covering of night. Bold and confident lines call your imagination up to higher ground, weaving tales of wonder and uttering divine inspirations of hope. Her works are a symphony to the senses where the beauty of creation meets the beauty within!" --Rose Juarez, art intercessor & writer
Creating at Live Events
It's fun to interact with patrons when I paint at a restaurant or event -- to hear what they imagine will emerge from the canvas, what emotions the colors evoke in them, even inviting them to swipe some paint on the canvas -- they become part of the story behind that painting. One of the pieces in my Mauka Collection began with two young siblings painting magenta and green circles on the canvas as their family waited to be seated. Can you guess which piece it is? Drop me a note and I'll let you know if you found it.
For larger venues, including the local civic auditorium, my process varies -- from allowing the idea to take flight in the moment, to weeks of prepping and planning to create something where the audience witnesses the canvas transform within an hour.
LIVE Art
Many of Rowena's pieces were created LIVE in California and Hawaii at locations including Moseley Family Cellars "Music On the Lawn" events, the Woodside Grill , the Redding Civic Auditorium , and Bethel Church.
Be careful as you browse, you may stumble upon a work in progress! Completed paintings are available for purchase.

WELL LOVED emerged while reflecting on life, love, and listening to music that had me dancing at my easel. The unfurling flower petals and stamen seemed to dance along as soon as they were painted on the canvas. One of my dear collectors swooped it up, almost before the paint was dry.
Prints of this piece are not available, however, if you are interested in commissioning a similar piece, please drop me a note.
